Dear A-ROSA Guests,
At A-ROSA, the health, safety and well-being of all guests and crew members is always our highest priority. Therefore, our A-ROSA Care Team has developed a comprehensive hygiene and health concept that further expands on our already very high safety standards. Based on the official national and international orders as well as recommendations from the Robert Koch Institute, Germany’s federal government agency and the research institute responsible for disease control and prevention, we have implemented the following increased precautionary measures:

  • All guests must provide the signed declaration of health to travel before boarding (p. 2). Guests without a signed declaration will not be able to board the ship. Boarding will be refused without the signed declaration.

  • In addition, all guests (12 years and older) require proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination (14 days after last vaccination) or recovery from COVID-19 (min. 28 days, max. 6 months old positive PCR test). Children aged 6 to 12 years need a negative rapid antigen test result (not older than 24h, no self-test) or a negative PCR test result (not older than 48h)

  • In addition, all guests will be tested for coronavirus by means of a rapid antigen test before boarding the ship.

We kindly ask you to bring relevant health documents (e.g. latest physician’s letter).

We ask all passengers to ‘self-check’ their health on a daily basis and to be attentive to any symptoms.

At the first sign of illness, such as breathing difficulties, coughing, flu-like symptoms or fever (≥37.8°C / 100.4°F) during the trip, guests must call the ship's management immediately.

Existing cleaning plans will be further enhanced and all passengers are required to regularly wash their hands and use the hand disinfectant dispensers provided. We will provide sufficient disinfectants.

A minimum social distance of 1.5 metres from other guests and staff will apply to the entire ship, which will be implemented using a guidance system with aisles as ‘one-way-streets’, floor markings, reduced size capacity in the dining areas and seating groups, to ensure the required social distancing can be adhered to.

The crew wear medical mouth-nose protection on board. Guests are also required to wear a medical mouth-nose protection or a FFP2 mask in public areas. This does not apply to guests who are seated at a dining table or in the outside areas.

All meals are buffet style.

The facilities in the SPA-ROSA (treatments & massage, fitness room, whirlpool) are reduced and carried out in compliance with established hygiene and social distancing rules. For the use of the sauna and / or the fitness area, please register at the reception.

The entertainment programme will operate without any physical contact.

All crew members complete a comprehensive health check and a PCR test for COVID-19 before they are allowed to board the ship. Only with the resulting health certificate are they allowed to work on board the A-ROSA ships. During the season, the crew is tested once a week with a rapid antigen test. In addition, the AROSA company doctor aims to have the crew vaccinated as soon as possible.

Before the start of the cruise, our hotel management and crew members are intensively trained on the subject from our highly qualified team of medical experts. Our fleet doctor Dr. med. Jens Tülsner is also available to support us.

We are monitoring current developments regarding the corona virus (SARS-CoV-2) and are in contact with the local authorities.

Embarkation will be refused without a signed ‘declaration of health for travel’ and presentation of the relevant evidence or if symptoms typical of COVID-19 are present. If you are unable to sign the declaration, please contact us promptly at +49 381 202 6001.

Additional return travel or accommodation costs incurred in the event of a quarantine order are not covered by covered by A-ROSA. We are obliged to report positive tests to the local health authorities. They will determine what procedure occurs next.
