What makes the south of France so special? So different from other beautiful Mediterranean regions? Perhaps it is the fact that everything here is a little more intense. The people – always lively and open. The rough, distinctive dialect. The picturesque landscape with dry red soil, dramatic gorges, and even wild white horses. The mistral wind that regularly fills your lungs with its stormy gusts. Wines that are full-bodied and delicious. Fantastic cuisine fragrant with herbs and olives, art bursting with color.

The buildings also have their charm – papal palaces, monasteries, and castles, stone and majestic. And on the Côte d'Azur, the international jet set, which is certainly not lacking in modesty. All this will make you fall in love with the south of France – not just a little, but head over heels. Your vacation here will be more intense. For all your senses.

BASIC - To the Mediterranean Sea (STELLA)

All cruises are international, meaning that all materials such as menus, radio announcements, etc. are in English. Likewise, excursions are available with English-speaking guides, and the staff on board speak English (and usually German as well).

Carmague -  as you approach the Mediterranean Sea, the landscape along the cruise begins to change - it becomes wilder and more untamed. The Rhone begins to spread here, bringing up to 20 million tons of stones, sand, and clay each year, which it eventually carries away to the Mediterranean Sea. The Rhone Delta is famous for its black bulls, white horses, and flocks of pink flamingos. Here you can observe thousands of these birds among the wetlands and rice fields, filtering the water with their beaks and feeding. This unique area of France covers an area of 120,000 hectares and has been protected as a national park since 1970. Don't miss the picturesque town of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer with its 9th-century fortified church.

Arles -  Night Café, Café Terrace at Night, and Trinquetaille Bridge in Arles are just three of Vincent van Gogh's many works that capture Arles at its most beautiful. However, Van Gogh was not the only famous name to admire the city. It was already a thriving metropolis during the Roman Empire, and in the 4th century, Emperor Constantine the Great chose Arles as his seat of power. Today, Arles is a unique blend of modern urban development and historical monuments. The inhabitants seem to be enjoying life to the fullest, between the past and the present. This relaxed and pleasant atmosphere is one of the characteristic features of cruises on the Saône and Rhône rivers.

Provence - literally speaking, savoir-vivre means "knowing how to live." And the inhabitants of Provence really know a lot about the art of enjoying life. The region is surrounded by olive trees, purple lavender fields, and vineyards that produce the best red wines. Provence is a place of relaxation, joy, and the art of savoring every moment. In summer, you can watch local farmers harvesting fruit – and maybe even join in yourself. You may be rewarded with a glass of wine or a traditional bouillabaisse dish. Other famous specialties include white nougat from Montélimar, candied fruit from Apt, and the famous truffles from the Vaucluse mountains. Provence is simply a place where pleasure is a priority.
