The Rhine is the chameleon of the world’s rivers. At times it seems wild, especially near the Lorelei Cliffs; at others, it is vast, such as when it flows into the Moselle in Koblenz. The romantic meadows of Rastatt invite you to have a picnic, and elsewhere people have tamed the river and transformed it into an ornamental companion to the elegant riverside promenades in cities like Basel. It is the perfect complement to Baroque and Gothic architecture and looks stunning in photographs.

PREMIUM - A Magical New Year on the Rhine 2026 (BRAVA)

All cruises are international, meaning that all materials—such as menus, announcements, etc.—are in English. Similarly, tours are available with English-speaking guides, and the crew on board speaks English (and usually German as well).

Amsterdam - In Amsterdam, you’ll feel the Christmas spirit around every corner, whether in a cozy pub, on a canal cruise, or in the museums. Houseboats and narrow houses with decorated gables shine with festive splendor. The Dutch know how to celebrate.

Antwerp - When your cruise stops in Antwerp, you’ll immediately realize that this small Flemish port is no stranger to festive sparkle. In fact, sparkle was literally invented right here: this traditional trading city is a major diamond hub, where precious stones are polished until they shine like stars in the sky. Antwerp itself is also a gem—from the ship, you’ll enjoy a magnificent view of its stately houses with ornate gables.

Rotterdam - the second-largest city in the Netherlands. Home to the continent’s largest seaport, this thriving metropolis spares no expense when it comes to modern architecture or charm. Over the past 20 years, a number of impressive new skyscrapers have sprung up here—and there is no sign that this trend is slowing down.

Itinerary

Day Place Arrival Departure
1 Cologne - 16:00
Welcome to Cologne! The typical friendliness that you find at every turn makes visitors feel at home right away. It’s not unusual to quickly get chatting to strangers and even go for a couple of glasses of Kölsch with them. The main landmark – Cologne Cathedral – watches over the whole city. It is the third-tallest church building in the world, at 157.38 metres. It might be a bit of a trek up to the top of the tower, but it’s worth it. You’ll be rewarded with an unforgettable view of the city and the Rhine spread out before you.
2 Antwerp 14:30 -
The port city of Antwerp is an absolute must-see. Rich in art and culture, it is also known as the ‘Diamond City’ due to its important role in the diamond trade. Antwerp is particularly enjoyable for foodies, thanks to the many tasty Belgian specialities on offer there – including waffles, chocolates and chips.

4 Rotterdam 08:00 23:30
Rotterdam is the second-largest city in the Netherlands, after Amsterdam. Known as ‘Manhattan on the Maas’, it has a more urban and international atmosphere than anywhere else in the whole country. Be prepared to be amazed by the fantastic skyline, featuring the the Erasmusbrug bridge. Rotterdam is home to Europe’s largest port, as well as being a major transport hub. It's no surprise that this is a centre of contemporary architecture, featuring the famoust Kijk-Kubus, and the Witte Huis, which was the first skyscraper in Europe. Several impressive new skyscrapers have sprung up over the past 20 years.
5 Amsterdam (Lelystad*) 07:30 -
Few European cities are as diverse as Amsterdam, with its multicultural charm, relaxed atmosphere, historic canal district and the highest concentration of museums in the world. Don’t miss the Van Gogh Museum or the Rijksmuseum, which was restored to its former glory several years ago following a decade-long renovation project. Follow the locals’ example and explore by bike or take a trip along the canals and discover Amsterdam from the water.  *In individual cases, the local authorities in Amsterdam may not confirm the reserved berths. If no berth is allocated, our guests will be provided with a shuttle bus to Amsterdam.

7 Nijmegen 04:00 12:00
Did you know that Nijmegen is the oldest city in the Netherlands? You only need to cross the Waalburg arch bridge into the centre to understand why the 160,000 inhabitants are so proud of their city: the Waalkade wharf and the silhouette of the city-centre buildings combine to form a truly impressive sight. In this Hanseatic city, tradition and modernity go hand in hand.
