Since many dangerous shoals were removed, the Rhine flows calmly along almost its entire length. The best cure for pre-Christmas stress is therefore a few days spent sailing. You will be guided leisurely past castles, palaces and monasteries to ancient towns that are festively decorated. You can calmly buy Christmas gifts and enjoy the atmosphere with baked apples, punch and music. Another unforgettable experience is a visit to Strasbourg with its impressive cathedral. In the evening on board you can look forward to festive delicacies and inspiration for your own Christmas menu.
All cruises are international, meaning that all materials such as menus, radio announcements, etc. are in English. Tours are also available with English-speaking guides and the staff on board speak English (mostly German).
RÜDESHEIMThe half-timbered Drosselgasse is a picturesque showcase for the excellent wines of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley - a landscape that embodies German romanticism and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Rüdesheim has always been protected by four castles, as it is strategically located at the end of former trade routes. The ruins of the Ehrenfels, Boosenburg and Brömserburg castles, which now house the Rheingau Wine Museum, are remnants of the city's rich history.
MAINZ
With 2,000 years of history, Mainz is not only one of the oldest cities in Germany, but also a place where great history comes to life at every turn. Tradition is also fully celebrated at Christmas! Be sure to visit the historic Domplatz square. The illuminated and decorated Mainz Cathedral will surely enchant you.
KOBLENZ
Discover Koblenz during your Rhine cruise. Its history dates back more than 2,000 years, making it one of the oldest cities in Germany – and one of the most picturesque with a wealth of historical, cultural and historical attractions. Admire Koblenz’s palaces, manor houses, churches and historic buildings in the narrow and romantic corners of the old town. You will be captivated as the A-ROSA approaches the famous Deutsches Eck.

Parking in Cologne
We recommend parking directly in Cologne. Clients can make their own parking reservations, or we will be happy to help them with the reservation free of charge. Reservations are made with Globus Parkhaus. Reservations can be made in writing on www.globus-group.de. Payment is made on site in cash or by EC card. The price includes a bus transfer to the ship and back, including luggage.

How to get to the car park:
The car park is located right next to the A57 motorway. Take exit 29 - Bickendorf and follow the signs to Bilderstöckchen. You can park your car on the day of arrival anytime between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The Globus shuttle will take you from the car park to your ship from approximately 2:15 p.m.
Recommended arrival time is between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Please note that the ship strictly adheres to the departure times. You will find out the exact transfer time on site. At the end of your stay, you will find out the departure time of the transfer from the ship to the car park.
