Magical Christmas markets are packed into the narrow half-timbered streets. Rüdesheim has a Christmas atmosphere. Celebrate with a glass of punch! Or perhaps one of the world-famous wines. One of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Germany takes place every winter between the old Römerberg district and the historic St. Paul's Church. The market and the rest of the city are bursting with gift ideas for your loved ones. And for yourself. Mainz's Nikolese market has a history that goes back more than 200 years. You can enjoy mulled wine and Christmas pastries on the square in front of the massive cathedral. While you're there, you can admire the lights twinkling around the colorful Renaissance facades of the historic buildings surrounding the market. The panorama of the Middle Rhine - which, with its enchanting valleys and mountains dotted with knights' castles, calls for celebration in itself. All the way to Koblenz - experience the scent of sweetened almonds while skating on the romantic ice rink in this ancient Roman city, accompanied by Christmas music and the clatter of picturesque horse-drawn carriages.
All cruises are international, meaning that all materials such as menus, radio announcements, etc. are in English. The tours are also available with English-speaking guides and the staff on board speak English (mostly German).
Rüdesheim - During the Christmas cruise you will visit the center of Rhenish Romanticism, which once inspired poets and musicians. For example, Brahms composed his 3rd symphony in Rüdesheim. From a cultural point of view, this most famous place in the Rheingau has a lot to offer, including historic manor houses and fortifications. And of course, you should not miss the coffee specialty "Rüdesheimer Kaffee", which was invented here.
Frankfurt proves with its Christmas tree that people here know how to do Christmas properly. Between the Römerberg and the historic Paulskirche church and the banks of the Main River, one of the most beautiful and oldest markets
in Germany takes place every winter. Especially popular as inspiration for Christmas gifts are Bethmanchen - marzipan pastries with almonds or mulled cider
Koblenz - Its history dates back more than 2,000 years, making it one of the oldest cities in Germany and one of the most picturesque with a wealth of monuments and cultural events. Admire Koblenz's palaces, manor houses, stately townhouses, narrow streets and romantic corners.

Parking in Cologne
We recommend parking directly in Cologne. Clients can make their own parking reservations, or we will be happy to help them with the reservation free of charge. Reservations are made with Globus Parkhaus. Reservations can be made in writing on www.globus-group.de. Payment is made on site in cash or by EC card. The price includes a bus transfer to the ship and back, including luggage.

How to get to the car park:
The car park is located right next to the A57 motorway. Take exit 29 - Bickendorf and follow the signs to Bilderstöckchen. You can park your car on the day of arrival anytime between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The Globus shuttle will take you from the car park to your ship from approximately 2:15 p.m.
Recommended arrival time is between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Please note that the ship strictly adheres to the departure times. You will find out the exact transfer time on site. At the end of your stay, you will find out the departure time of the transfer from the ship to the car park.
