People celebrated the Danube in songs, dedicated poems to it and wrote fairy tales about it. This trip allows you to experience a piece of European history not only through Vienna with its stunning Baroque architecture surrounded by dynamic contemporary architecture, but also from a visit to the confident Slovak capital Bratislava. While you're there, don't forget to order the typical slovakia food with sheep cheese!
From 1.1.2025, cruises on the Danube will take place from Passau - the cruise starts with a beautiful ride through Passau's old town - a win-win for everyone!
All cruises are international, which means that all materials such as the ship's newspaper, menus, radio announcements, etc. are in English. Likewise, excursions are available with English-speaking guides and the on-board staff speaks English (usually German as well).
The first stop will be in Vienna, which is definitely one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. With its 1.7 million inhabitants, it is Austria's largest city and the country's most important cultural, political and economic centre. The historic centre of Vienna was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2001. Vienna is characterised by a rich musical tradition, which dates back to the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, when Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Joseph Haydn and Ludwig van Beethoven all worked in the city.
We will also be anchored in Bratislava, one of the youngest European capitals. It boasts the beautiful surroundings of the White Carpathians, beautiful landscapes and unique monuments. The city's landmark is the new bridge that crosses the Danube River. It is one of the largest bridges in the world and has also been named the building of the century in Slovakia. Let yourself be surprised.
The next city where we will anchor is Linz, the capital of the Austrian state of Upper Austria. It was awarded European Capital of Culture 2009.

If you take the A3 motorway, take the "Passau-Süd" exit. At the end of the motorway exit continue along the road towards Passau. After about 2 kilometres through the Neuburg Forest, take the first possible left turn onto Messestrasse. The entrance is marked "Gewerbegebiet Kohlbruck Messestrase". After 150 metres you will reach the Globus Parkhaus.

The official language on board is German. Thus all written information are available also in English, and partly in Italian, Spanish and French on our international cruise ships.
In addition, excursions are offered in several languages. On board selected cruises the A-ROSA international host looks after the concerns of our international guests.
