Even UNESCO has fallen in love with the Middle Rhine Valley. This place, inscribed on the World Heritage List, stimulates the romantic imagination of every visitor. What adventures did the heroic inhabitants of the mighty castles experience? What did they fight for – for faith, for land, for power, or for love? And how much truth is there in the legend of the Lorelei and all the sailors who perished because of her in the wild currents of the river, which have since been tamed?
The beautiful scenery invites everyone – not only romantics, but also those with a vivid imagination and an interest in history – to raise a glass of the excellent regional wine. While doing so, you can reminisce about the wonderful experiences of the past days and look forward to the ones to come, when you will discover stunning scenery of natural beauty and some of the most beautiful cities along the Rhine.
All cruises are international, meaning that all materials such as menus, radio announcements, etc. are in English. Tours are also available with English-speaking guides and the staff on board speak English (mostly also German).
Cologne - Welcome to Cologne! The magnificent Cologne Cathedral, one of Germany's most famous landmarks, towers proudly over the city and attracts attention with its impressive architecture and rich details. Cozy cafes, lively beer gardens and restaurants stretch along the waterfront and invite you to sit and relax, while the charming streets of the old town with traditional houses, boutiques and breweries evoke the atmosphere of a bygone era.
Lorelei - The Rhine begins to be truly impressive in the Middle Rhine Valley - and it is no wonder that in Koblenz the Moselle pumps 315 m³ of water per second. Then the rocks and the riverbed narrow by almost two-thirds, and above, the legendary Lorelei has been watching this natural drama indifferently since time immemorial.
Upper Middle Rhine Valley - Wine-growing villages are respectfully crowded along the riverbank and castles look down on them from a safe height. UNESCO had good reason to designate the section of the Rhine between km 526 and 593 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Which of the old castles is the most impressive? Maybe Marksburg? This 13th-century fortress, including frescoes and a knight's hall as well as steps carved into the rock, is still largely intact.

Parking in Cologne
We recommend parking directly in Cologne. Clients can make their own parking reservations, or we will be happy to help them with the reservation free of charge. Reservations are made with Globus Parkhaus. Reservations can be made in writing on www.globus-group.de. Payment is made on site in cash or by EC card. The price includes a bus transfer to the ship and back, including luggage.
We recommend booking parking well in advance.

How to get to the car park:
The car park is located right next to the A57 motorway. Take exit 29 - Bickendorf and follow the signs to Bilderstöckchen. You can park your car on the day of arrival anytime between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The Globus shuttle will take you from the car park to your ship from approximately 2:15 p.m.
Recommended arrival time is between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Please note that the ship strictly adheres to the departure times. You will find out the exact transfer time on site. At the end of your stay, you will find out the departure time of the transfer from the ship to the car park.
