Ring in the New Year in Budapest. Enjoy the fireworks from a boat or mingle with the locals and spend the evening in the city center. Showers of stars, fiery fountains, golden rain, and explosions of color. Budapest, with its beautiful Baroque buildings, picturesque Old Town with small boutiques and cafés, and the Danube running through the center—inviting you to enjoy a relaxing drink and reminiscent of the Seine metropolis of Paris. This cruise is more than just one big New Year’s Eve party. On the beautiful blue Danube, you’ll be captivated by magnificent Vienna, pay homage to modern art in Linz, and take a little rhythm home with you.
All cruises are international, meaning that all materials—such as menus, public announcements, etc.—are in English. Similarly, tours are available with English-speaking guides, and the crew on board speaks English (and usually German as well).
Wachau - About 80 km west of Vienna lies the Wachau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This valley is flanked by steep slopes where some of Europe’s finest grape varieties are grown. Amidst this landscape, you’ll pass castles, palaces, and romantic ruins that bear witness to a distant past. In such an enchanting landscape, it’s no wonder that there are many legends about the Wachau, ranging from mythical tales to historical events, including the Napoleonic Wars. Authors such as Josef Wichner and Hans Plöckinger have published collections of these legends—perfect reading material for a visit to the region.
Budapest - Do you know how many bridges Budapest has? There are seven in total—spanning the river between the Buda and Pest districts. The most famous is probably the Széchenyi Chain Bridge. You’ll see Budapest’s impressive architecture with your own eyes on a cruise along the Danube. And if you step out onto the sun deck, you’ll have an unobstructed view of the famous Hungarian Parliament Building. The perfect way to experience this breathtaking city!
Vienna - Once you find yourself in Vienna for a few hours, you won’t want to rush. You’ll want to visit the countless cafés where traditional Viennese café culture still thrives today. And the rich history of the emperors, Sissi, and the Habsburgs, with their lavish lifestyle, adds to the city’s fascination. Or you can lose yourself in the sounds of Viennese classical music. The Austrian capital also inspires on a culinary level: it’s no coincidence that the famous Wiener Schnitzel and Sachertorte have become household names around the world.

Parking in Passau (Germany)
We recommend that customers park directly in Passau. Customers can make their own parking reservations, or we’ll be happy to assist them with the reservation free of charge. Reservations are made through Globus Parkhaus. You can make a reservation online at www.globus-group.de. Payment is made on-site in cash or by EC card. The price includes a bus transfer to and from the ship, including luggage.
We recommend booking parking well in advance.
