Historic Rouen is further north on the Seine. In the middle of this city, the 19-year-old Joan of Arc was burned at the stake in 1431. Many buildings and museums are worth visiting, the massive Gothic cathedral and the oldest astronomical clock are set in a beautiful medieval setting. The Seine winds through forests and rocks - before saying goodbye to beautiful France as it enters the sea - towards Les Andelys, a town that is charming and sunny. High above the picturesque bends of the Seine rise the massive ruins of the majestic citadel of Chateau Gaillard, built in 1196 by Richard the Lionheart as a defense against France.
All cruises are international, meaning that all materials such as menus, radio announcements, etc. are in English. Likewise, excursions are available with English-speaking guides and the staff on board speak English (mostly also German).
Paris - you don't just visit, you soak up its atmosphere. The magnificent monuments - the Eiffel Tower, Champs-Élysées, Louvre and Arc de Triomphe will captivate you, and walks at dusk through the Marais and Montmartre will inspire you. It is a place where time seems to have stood still as you explore the magnificent monuments of the city.
Rouen - Step into the streets of the beautiful port city of Rouen and you will feel as if you have stopped time. As you follow in the footsteps of the French national heroine Joan of Arc, you will experience history firsthand. It is also a city of art: the cathedral served as a motif for the impressionist painter Claude Monet. Other sights in the region include abbeys and castles that you will see on the shore as you sail down the Seine towards Vernon.
Normandy - chalk cliffs, fairytale castles, castle ruins and fortresses, apple orchards where Calvados is grown - that's what Normandy is all about. Enjoy a glass of cider and a slice of Camembert in one of the many small towns. Marveilleux!

Parking in Paris
AIR TRANSPORT: For clients arriving in Paris by plane, we can book a transfer from the airport to the port. The transfer price is €39/person/way (this amount will be added to your A-ROSA on-board account). The bus departure times are 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00. We recommend booking the transfer as early as possible, as the number of seats is limited.
ARRIVAL BY TRAIN: For clients with an all-inclusive cruise and booking the train through A-ROSA, the transfer from the train station to the port is free. For all other clients, the transfer is charged and its exact prices will be provided upon request.
ARRIVAL BY CAR: If you are traveling by car, you must have a "Crit'Air" sticker in order to enter the Paris "low-emission" zone. You can buy it here www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/en/demande for €5.60. More detailed information can be found at www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/en.
Parking in Paris: We recommend parking at Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport in Terminal 2. You can book parking at www.parisaeroport.fr. Click on “Parking”, “Parking Paris-CDG”, “Réserver” and finally “Parking Vacances”. You will then be presented with a form and, after filling it out, specific price offers. The transfer is identical to air transport.
In all three cases, we recommend using taxi services. Taxis can be found both in front of the airport building and the train station and prices are around €1.50/km. Some taxi services offer the option of booking a ride in advance, so you will know the exact price and avoid any waiting.
